A Dali exhibit in Columbus

Quick! What do you think of when you hear the name Salvadore Dali?

Melting clocks, perhaps?

Elongated elephants?

Nightmarish scenes?

There is an exhibition of 25 of his lithographs in the W.C. Bradley Co. Museum, 1017 Front Ave. It's sponsored by the Bradley Co., the Consulate General of Israel to the Southeast, Columbus State University's Bo Bartlett Center and CSU's Illges Gallery.

It's called "Aliyah: The Rebirth of Israel" and it's part of the collection of David and Ursula Blumenthal.

It is spectacular.

The art is not in the style you would expect. And I don't know enough about art to really describe it. I took a quick look this morning right after a meeting of the ArtBeat 2014 program committee. It's my first time on this committee.

All I can say is for you to go see it.

The museum is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and it definitely worth seeing.
