Mystery Shrouds Padgett Death

An unsigned telegram dispatched from Columbus to California urging Cecil E. Padgett to return here "immediately" has added mystery to events leading up to Padgett's death in a fall from a highballing freight train in west Texas Saturday. The 39-year-old key witness in the murder trial of Phenix City's Albert Fuller was found dead near railroad tracks about nine miles west of Marfa, Tex.

Woodall Rites

Graveside services for Allen McGehee Woodall Sr., 63, Columbus broadcasting executive, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Parkhill Cemetery. Mr. Woodall owner of several Georgia radio stations, including WDAK here, died at 7 a.m. Sunday at St. Francis Hospital following a short illness.
