Federal Services Finance Corporation is pressing a young Army officer for payment on a car that is already paid for, even after the finance company recently confessed to a Columbus dealer who paid it off that the demand was in error, a Congressional investigating committee was told here Monday.
L-E Car Stolen
City police Monday night were looking for a Ledger-Enquirer Newspapers 1965 Ford station wagon reported stolen from the company's Third Avenue parking lot between 8 a.m. and noon Sunday.
Peace Corps
Rebecca P. Braxton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Braxton, 2618 First Avenue, left Monday for the Philippines for a two-year tour of duty in the Peace Corps. She recently completed 10 weeks of language training at Sacramento State College.
