A layman group's petition asking Superior Court Judge J. Alvan Davis to restrain the city government from holding a mixed drink referendum on Oct. 13 was answered by City Attorney Lennie Davis Friday. Judge Davis has scheduled a hearing on the petition at 10 a.m.
'Poverty War'
The senate has overridden Republican objections and sent President Johnson a bill authorizing $1,785,000,000 to combat poverty.
