Largest Troop Plane Planned for 1969

After months of studies, the Pentagon is expected to award a contract for development and later production of the C5A, a monster jet-powered plane which could carry up to 600 soldiers or tanks and other heavy military gear more than 6,000 miles at about 550 miles per hour.
