Third Indictment

Russell County Inferior Court Judge William Edward (Ed) Lunsford told The Ledger this morning he is "anxious" to face trial following his third indictment on a charge of embezzlement. Lunsford said that he was served an arrest warrant Wednesday.by a deputy.

'Rock' On Way Out

Movie composer Dimitri Tiomkin predicts that flamenco will replace rock 'n' roll as the next big trend in pop music. Says Tiomkin: "Rock 'n' roll got the kids buying guitars, but flamenco, which has a beat, utilizes the guitar in a more intelligent fashion."

River Committee

An open meeting of the Chattahoochee River Basin Development Commission will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 19, at the Holiday Inn at Callaway Gardens.
