With campaigning time fast fading, backers and foes of legal liquor by the drink in Columbus were increasing their efforts today to win votes in Wednesday's referendum.

Indian Artifacts

Archeological excavation near Cottonton by the Smithsonian Institute has uncovered several important Indian artifacts on land of the Alabama Kraft Company, officials said Sunday. The project is being directed by Dr. C.G. Holland, Smithsonian research associate.
