Draft Protests Expected Over U.S.
Thousands of persons protested U.S. involvement in Viet Nam in demonstrations Friday in more than a score of American cities. More demonstrations were planned for today in an organized weekend of protest.
Wallace
While Gov. George Wallace was stumping in North Alabama for his succession bill, that bill, the governor and his administration were taking a verbal flogging in the state Senate. Sen. Bob Gilchrist of Morgan County, one of the chief foes of the bill, accused Wallace of using "goon squads and rumor mills" to attack the opposition stand on the bill.
Mental Health
A drive to raise the remaining $1,800 for the Muscogee Mental Health Project will be conducted in the Wynnton area Sunday afternoon by members of the Central Christian Church.
