Besieged Jungle Camp

"Flying Horsemen" of the U.S. lst Cavalry Division reinforced Vietnamese troops today inside the beleaguered U.S. Special Forces camp at Plei Me. The outpost in the Central Highlands has been under attack by Communist North Vietnamese troops and Viet Cong guerrillas for seven days.

10,000 to Train

The Army's new Basic Combat Training Center at Fort Benning will train an average of about 10,000 soldiers a year, Maj. Gen. Michael S. Davison, deputy assistant chief of staff for force development, said here today.
