Rhodesia Proclaims Freedom; Aid Ended
Prime Minister Ian Smith declared Rhodesia independent today, the first such declaration against Britain since the American Colonies broke away in 1776.
Ike 'Satisfactory'
Doctors said today former President Dwight D. Eisenhower is in "satisfactory" condition but warned he could lapse into a full blown heart attack. Eisenhower suffered a heart spasm early Tuesday and was rushed to the Ft. Gordon Army hospital.

William T. Miller of Columbus has been elected new president of the Chattahoochee Council, Boy Scouts of America.
