L-E Offers Viet Nam Map

President Johnson has decided to send more American troops to fight in South Viet Nam to counter a build-up in Communist guerrilla and regular forces. Johnson authorized the Pentagon to provide all the men that U.S. military commanders request to bolster the 160,000 Americans already in the war zone.

Ike Illness

Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower's illness was diagnosed today as a true heart attack. Revising their first estimate that the 75-year-old five-tar general had suffered only a heart insufficiency, the medical team issued a new report on the basis of late tests.
