Death Penalty Hearing Scheduled

The last in a series of public hearings on whether to abolish capital punishment in Georgia will get under way Monday at the State Capitol. The State Senate Study Committee on Capital Punishment will conduct the two--day hearing, as it has the rest of the series. Other hearings were held at Rome, Athens, Albany, Macon and Savannah.

Viet Nam

Two more soldiers from Columbus have been listed as killed in Viet Nam. They were identified Friday by the Defense Department as Sp5 Thomas Baal, 38, 5153 Seneca Dr., Columbus, who was killed in action Nov. 10; and SFC Florendo B. Pascual, husband of Mrs. Maria Pascual, 123A Brostrom, Fort Benning.

Bo Urges Bombing

Rep. Howard Callaway, R-Ga., says the North Vietnamese port of Hai Phong should be made a military target because it is a main supply line for shipments of military supplies from Hanoi into South Viet Nam.
