The Supreme Court today declared unconstitutional a requirement that members of the Communist party must register with the government. The decision held that the act's requirement conflicts with a constitutional provision that nobody can be compelled to give evidence against himself in any criminal case.

A modern, complete recording studio -- to be associated with such major record companies as MGM, Ace and Sun -- and the first of its kind in this area, will begin operation in Phenix City Dec. 1, officials said Sunday.
