Ever wondered why more people don't park at the lot on Front Avenue at 12th Street? High heeled shoes have something to do with it, according to City Traffic Enginer Wesley Scott. The lot adjacent to the river is located a good many feet lower than Broadway, and women tilt forward uncomfortably when they walk toward it.

Americans died in traffic accidents over the weekend in numbers that set a record for a three-day Christmas holiday. Georgia accidents claimed 24 lives and 21 were killed in Alabama.

Rep. Jack Brinkley of Columbus will be named chairman of the Local Affairs Committee of the Georgia House of Representatives when the 1966 session of the General Assembly opens on Jan. 10, a source close to House Speaker George T. Smith said today.
