Russell Says War Lull Will Hurt U.S.
Sen.Richard B. Russell said today the odds are strongly against early settlement of the Viet Nam war and predicted the present lull in fighting will be costly to this nation and its fighting men.

Vet Benefits Not Automatic
Veterans, war widows, and other military dependents eligible for government benefits must apply if they are to receive them. The benefits are not automatically bestowed on anyone, even though they may be eligible, a Veterans Administration spokesman said here Wednesday.
