Brinkley Will Lead 'Dimes' Campaign

The 1966 March of Dimes campaign in Muscogee County will be directed by Rep. Jack Brinkley, it was announced Thursday by Joe Wheeler, chairman of the Muscogee-Chattahoochee chapter of the National Foundation.

Heartening news was in the offing today for Chattahoochee Valley snuff-dippers. The price of a can of snuff was expected to drop.

Snuff and a host of other consumer items are scheduled to cost less as the second phase of President Johnson's $4.7 billion excise tax cut goes into effect Saturday.

Columbus Jaycees today asked residents to "take a stand with us" in the group's efforts to prove the public supports extending limited access on the Columbus-Manchester Expressway.
