Johnson Asks U.N. To Seek War's End
President Johnson called for an immediate meeting of the United National Security Council in a new effort to bring the Viet Nam war to the conference table. The Chief Executive made the request during a brief, televised report to the nation on his decision to resume U.S. bombing raids on Communist North Viet Nam.
