Lurleen to Enter Race Next Week
Gov. George Wallace intends to enter his wife, Lurleen, in the governor's race next week, it was learned today. Speculation has been high that the attractive first lady would enter the race since her husband cannot run for re-election.
Gaming Bill
An anti-gambling bill severely altered by the House Thursday headed for a House-Senate conference committee this morning as the legislature began the last day of the session. The administration changed its mind about asking the House to reconsider its action of Thursday, which Gov. Carl Sanders said "takes the teeth out of the bill" passed earlier by the Senate.
Mrs. Gullatt Dies
Mrs. Robert E. Gullatt, wife of the clerk of Phenix City's Recorder's Court, died this morning at Cobb Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gullatt, 67, died at 7:45.
