Army to Change Family Notification

Wives and children of U.S. Army casualties in Viet Nam will be notified by military men in the future instead of by telegram, Rep. Bo Callaway said he has been informed. Last November public criticism in the Columbus area grew out of reports that taxi drivers were delivering telegrams at night to notify wives their husbands had been killed in action.

Apollo

The mightiest rocket ever built by the United States, a Saturn 1B, thundered skyward today in an attempt to hurl the first unmanned Apollo moonship over a blazing reentry course.

Flowers Campaign

Alabama Atty. Gen. Richmond Flowers formally entered the race for governor Friday, calling for Democratic Party unity and a "turn from the idea of defiance to that of reason and progress."
