Second suspect arrested in shooting at Super 8 Motel
A second suspect has been arrested in the Dec. 18 homicide at the Super 8 Motel in Columbus.
Police Sgt. Mike Dahnke said Brandon Lamar Kennedy of Columbus surrendered to authorities at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday at the Public Safety Center. He is charged with murder in connection with the death of Travis Coleman.
Kennedy, 25, is the second suspect charged in the homicide after Terrence Holloway was arrested Monday after a pursuit from Columbus police. Kennedy and Holloway are held in the Muscogee County Jail for a 9 a.m. Thursday hearing in Recorder’s Court.
Police were called to the motel at 2935 Warm Springs Road to check on a shooting when they found Coleman dead in the parking lot.
