Vince Gill to play to full house at Sweetland
Sweetland Amphitheatre in LaGrange, Ga., is hosting quite a lineup of high profile talent in 2017. Previous acts this year have included The Beach Boys and Kool & The Gang, and now the venue is preparing to host an almost sold-out concert featuring Vince Gill.
Gill has won 20 Grammy Awards throughout a career spanning over three decades. He has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well. Some of his most famous hits include “When I Call Your Name” and “Go Rest High on That Mountain,” as well as “The Heart Won’t Lie” and his duet with Dolly Parton of her song “I Will Always Love You.” Gill holds four CMA Song of the Year Awards, giving him the record of being the most-awarded artist in history for the category.
“We are excited to have such amazing talent at Sweetland this year,” said Keyal Loveland, Sweetland Amphitheatre’s front house manager.
He said the Vince Gill concert, with 2,100 tickets sold, is nearly a sellout, but that he still has general admission lawn tickets available for purchase.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed for this concert. The regular concession menu includes gourmet wraps and Philly cheesesteaks in addition to regular concession favorites like burgers and nachos.
The venue also offers an option for pre-ordering a picnic. Options include a smoked rib dinner, a brisket sandwich, salad or a shimp po’ boy. Advanced orders should be placed by 8 p.m. on the Tuesday before the show to ensure your meal will be ready when you arrive.
Parking passes can be purchased on Sweetland’s website.
