The following special dinners are planned for Valentine’s weekend:

Mario’s Restaurant: Dinner and entertainment. 7 p.m. Saturday, 1010 Broadway. Belly dancer Aisha entertains. $30 includes appetizer, salad, dinner entree, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks. Reservations needed. 706-571-9830.

Georgia Room at Callaway Gardens: Evening hours on Saturday. Choice of three appetizers, four entrees and two desserts. $45. 706-663-2281 to make a reservation.

Carriage & Horses: Filet and lobster dinner offered on Saturday and Sunday. Music by Suzanne Swan and Lou Valle. $50. 607 Butts Mill Road, Pine Mountain. 706-663-4777

Ariccia: 6:30-11:30 p.m. EST Friday-Sunday in The Hotel at Auburn, 241 South College St., Auburn. Three-course dinner menu featuring Seared Bay Scallop and Lobster Ravioli, Roulade of Duck and Chicken with a Butternut Squash Risotto and choice of dessert. Reservations recommended. $29.99 per person. 334-844-5140. A brunch will be served Sunday noon-3 p.m. EST for $17.96 per person.

The following meals are planned for Sunday:

Benning Conference Center brunch: 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Fort Benning. Special gourmet brunch. Reservations requested. $14.95; half-price for children ages 6-12; children 5 and younger eat free. 706-682-0640.

Fife and Drum: Couples are served a three-course dinner including three choices of soups, four choices of entrees and choice of a shared dessert. Throughout dinner, love songs will be played by Brent Lindley and his band. After the meal, the classic “Casablanca,” starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, will be shown in the IMAX theater. $49.95 a couple. Space is limited. Make a reservation for either the 4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. seating. Call 706-685-5800.

Piedmont Dining room at Callaway Gardens: Evening hours, a la carte menu, including Chef’s Specials, dessert for two. Appetizers are $5-$8.50; entrees are $20-$34. 706-663-6857 for reservations.

Viva El Toro: 6-8 p.m. or 8-10 p.m. 3443 Macon Road. One appetizer, two dinners, two desserts and choice of a pitcher of beer or margaritas or a bottle of champagne. Reservations required. $20 per person. 706-507-9868.

Ben’s Chop House: 4 p.m.-10:30 p.m. 5300 Sidney Simons Blvd. Dinner for two is a choice of: 16 ounce ribeye with 10 jumbo shrimp, 24-ounce New York Strip, veal chop with lobster tails, seafood platter, or lasagna. Each entree is served with two salads and two sides. Call ahead seating available. 706-256-0466.

The Market: Seafood restaurant will offer a special menu beginning at 5 p.m. It’s at 1039 First Ave. 706-320-9733.

Buckhead Bar & Grill: Specials include American Kobe beef (Wagyu), Chilean sea bass and more. Menu is offered all weekend, including Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. Reservations not accepted. Restaurant is at 5010 Armour Road. 706-571-9995.

Cafe Le Rue: Valentine’s Day menu features alcohol, appetizer, main course, salad and dessert. It’s $49.99 for two. Sunday’s hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. The Cajun restaurant is at 2523 Airport Thruway in The Landings. 706-507-5851.

Downstairs at The Loft: Will be open beginning at 5 p.m. with Valentine’s specials. Call-ahead seating strongly recommended. It’s at 1032 Broadway. 706-596-8141.

Mark’s City Grill: Specials include Deconstructed Beef Wellington, Veal Chop a la Griglio, Sauteed Chicken Breast with Artichoke Cream Sauce and Grouper Oscar. Mama Kay’s Cupid’s Delight is the dessert. There will be a bottled wine special. Special Sunday hours are 4-9 p.m.; selected specials also available Saturday. Reservations requested, but not required. It’s at 7160 Moon Road. 706-507-3221.

Meritage Cafe: Valentine’s Day Wine Dinner at 6 p.m. is booked, so a second seating has been added at 8:30 p.m. Meal includes appetizer, salad, fish, meat, dessert and more. $75 per person, add $25 per person for wine pairings. It’s at 1350 13th Street. 706-327-0707.
