Some cats are born with all the beauty, and you know them when you see them. They might have spellbinding turquoise eyes and the most beautiful contrasting fur colors, or maybe they're a unique breed with huge paws and Swiffer Duster tails that you'll be thinking about in your dreams.

And then there's Carol, a Ragdoll cat with so much fluffy fur, her head is itty bitty in comparison-and you need to see her to fully get it!

Some call her a cloud, and others are too mesmerized to say anything other than calling her gorgeous, beautiful, and big. This is one pretty Ragdoll with the kind of presence other felines only wish they had, and it's because of all that fur! Whatever she's doing, people from all walks of life are obsessed with the insane levels of fluff (same)!

With a name like Carol and glorious good looks, you can bet this viral kitty is living it up. In typical Ragdoll fashion, she's just about the ploppiest, floppiest Little Miss you'll ever see, and just as my Ragdoll, Milo, who makes questionable life choices, so does she.

You can say whatever you want about the breed or cats in general, but Carol is a whole mood, and I stand by that!

Why Ragdolls Have So Much Fur

As nice as these cats are to look at, experts explain that Ragdolls have all that plush fur because of their breeding history, which prioritized silky hair like that of a rabbit. Born from Persian and Birman cat ancestors, you can expect that these kittens are going to be irresistibly cute, but their fur is actually pretty unique.

At first glance, their fur looks like many layers, almost like tulle, but it's really just a soft, single-layer coat doing all that work! The end result is pretty, but it's also less prone to matting, unlike other long-haired felines.

Aside from the distinguishable way their fur looks, it also acts as an insulator, which doesn't shed the way other cat fur does. And despite how intimidating it may seem to have a fluff like Carol, Ragdolls are considered low-maintenance as long as pet parents keep up on brushing. Whatever the reason for all the pouf, Carol's got it going on!
