The Rolling Stones Combine Sports and Music
"The FIFA World Cup is the biggest show on Earth, uniting billions of people through football, culture, and shared celebration," said Romy Gai, FIFA's chief business officer.
"We are delighted to welcome The Rolling Stones into this global moment, adding the energy, emotion and one of music's most iconic bands to the tournament experience. This collaboration celebrates the powerful connection between football and music, and the unforgettable experiences they create for fans around the world."
Each of the three limited-edition covers combine the Rolling Stones' iconic "tongue and lips" logo with imagery and design from the 2026 World Cup. FIFA says the limited designs are intended to be keepsakes commemorating the tournament and the release of the band's new album.
The Legacy Grows With A New Studio Album
"Foreign Tongues" releases on July 10, and marks the band's 25th studio album. The Stones are joined by major acts from around the music world on the new album, including Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Robert Smith (The Cure) and Paul McCartney.
The Rolling Stones' late drummer Charlie Watts is also featured on the album posthumously, including work recorded in one of his final studio sessions before his death in 2021.

Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger admitted that the band had never played with McCartney before, marking one of the most collaborations between members of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles - two of the most influential bands ever.
"We'd never played with him before. I'd sung with him before, but we'd never actually played a musical instrument," Jagger said about McCartney in an interview with BBC Radio 2. "That was very exciting. He was a very quick learner."
The FIFA World Cup officially begins on Thursday, June 11 with the opening match between Mexico and South Africa. McCartney and Jagger's native England will begin their World Cup journey on Wednesday, June 17 against Croatia.
Canada and the United States - the other two host nations, along with Mexico - will begin their World Cup group stage schedule on Friday, June 12. The World Cup final is set for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey - a venue the Rolling Stones have played at several times.
