The outlet noted that the couple met in the early 1980s, when she was working as an administrative assistant at the National Theatre, where he was part of a staging of Danton's Death. While speaking to the outlet, he stated that he'd repeatedly asked her to marry him, but they never walked down the aisle since she preferred to be partners. "I've asked her to marry me several times, but she's not interested. She says 'f**k off' and then runs off to throw up. I've given up now."

After they spent decades together, Fisher passed away in December 2025. A BBC article about her passing noted that she was an animal welfare campaigner who founded the Animal Centred Education and also ran a horse sanctuary called Tilley Farm. The outlet also quoted a statement released by the couple's daughters about her passing.

"No words could ever express all she encompassed, or begin to describe the crater her absence has left. We know how profoundly she has impacted the lives of so many, and we couldn't be more proud of the legacy she is leaving behind. Anthony Head and Sarah Fisher had two daughters together who were born years apart. Emily Head was born on December 15, 1988, while Daisy Head came into the world on March 7, 1991. Now adults, both of them have followed in their father's footsteps to become successful actors.

After landing a breakout role in the British sitcom The Inbetweeners, Emily most notably went on to land roles in the soap opera Emmerdale and the BBC drama The Syndicate. Daisy Head also starred inThe Syndicate and other series like Guilt, Harlots, The Gray House, and Shadow and Bone. Arguably, Daisy's biggest role was portraying a villain in the movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
