Baby Giraffe Trails Behind a Tiny Duck Like a Loyal Sidekick
It's so cute when an animal has a little obsession. Or even when they're curious about something new. That's especially true about a baby giraffe who was totally transfixed by a visitor to his enclosure. It was a little duck! The giraffe couldn't get enough of the animal, and a video of him trailing behind the duck is too cute.
There are many things the baby giraffe probably sees every day, but a duck is not one of them. That's why he couldn't let it go when he saw one pass him by.

Have you ever seen two animals who are more different than each other? These two might be very different sizes, but that's the attraction! The giraffe was possibly transfixed by the pint-sized duck. Had he ever seen a bird before? Had he ever seen an animal so small?

The giraffe was bent over as he followed behind the animal, he crouched down low to get a better look. Sadly, the giraffe was so large that he couldn't keep up with the speeding duck. Come back here! Come back!
"This curious little giraffe was verryyyy interested in the duck," the video's caption reads.
I wonder if he ever caught up to the duck? It seems like he would've kept following the bird forever if he had to. Sadly, the bird did fly off, leaving the giraffe alone in its wake.
People in the comments section were cracking up.
"I love that the giraffe is just nonchalantly walking while the duck is running for its life," wrote one commenter.
"She's going as fast as her little legs will allow," chimed in someone else.
"The giraffe: kiiiiittty. The duck: heeeeelp," another person teased.
"Ahhhh. The little giraffe looked disappointed that his possible friend flew away," one person pointed out.
Are Giraffes Dangerous?
It's understandable why the duck might've been a little scared. Even though the giraffe was a baby, he was still pretty big.
Typically, giraffes are gentle animals, but they are strong and can defend themselves in a dangerous situation. On the whole, they aren't aggressive animals. So have no fear when around giraffes!
