Patient Family's Journey Turning a Feral Cat Into a Loving Pet Is Melting Hearts
Winning over a feral cat takes patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love, and even then, some cats never fully learn to trust humans. We've lived in our home for four years, and our neighborhood feral cat still won't let us pet him, despite all of our efforts to win him over.
But this family proved that sometimes it really can happen. They shared the touching story of how their once-feral cat, Napoleon, slowly became part of the family. According to Ellory (@catscostumesandcuddles), Napoleon had been hanging around the house for at least eight years and was very "spicy." It took two full years before he trusted them enough to allow pets, and even longer before he accepted affection and finally agreed to come inside the house. Watching the cautious feral cat grow into a loving family pet has viewers everywhere emotional.
