Jamie Foxx Vigorously Weighs in on LeBron vs MJ Debate and Has Notes about Wembanyama

Former players, current players, analysts, and your everyday NBA fans have kicked this GOAT conversation into overdrive over the last few months, with most discussions boiling down to Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Well, it looks like the multi-talented Jamie Foxx has decided to passionately argue his point, choosing between the two legendary players. Not only that, but during a spirited conversation, the topic of Victor Wembanyama came up, and Foxx had plenty to share. Here's what happened.

Jamie Foxx Strikes a Difference Between the GOAT and Best Player

Seen in a video is Foxx talking in a group of people, which included fellow actor Tyrin Turner (Menace II Society). The basketball GOAT debate came up, and Foxx was quick to get straight to the point. He enthusiastically told Tyrin:

"First of all, I'm not scared. Michael Jordan is the GOAT. LeBron James is the better basketball player. It's two different things. You take Mike, I take LeBron, we good."

Turner then tried to bring up what "the chat" had to say (or other people's opinions), and the Ray actor replied, "I don't give a f*ck what chat say." Then came the Wemby of it all.

Someone Really Compared Wembanyama's Career to LeBron's

As Foxx and his group progressed in their conversation, someone chimed in with the unexpected question, "Is Wemby better than LeBron?" Rightfully so, Foxx was caught off guard by the inquiry.

After bouncing back from the shock and bringing up the fact that James was covering magazines as a high school phenom, Foxx made the bold statement, "LeBron James, better than everybody at 18." It should also be worth noting that Turner was also baffled by the question, noting that Wemby is young in the league and it's "too early" to be having this type of conversation about him.

Now, just to chime in here myself, I have to say, the Wemby part of the discussion threw me. With all due respect, I was flabbergasted to even see a group compare LeBron to Wembanyama. Don't get me wrong, the Spurs center is a great talent and one day can be mentioned among the greats if his trajectory continues. However, to Turner's point, he's only been playing in the league for three years compared to James' 23 seasons in the NBA. Let's give the man some time to further develop his career. Check out the video of Foxx and his group below.
