‘Grey's Anatomy' Season 22 Is Now Streaming on Netflix

Grey's AnatomySeason 22 is officially available to stream on Netflix for subscribers. The season marked another historic one for the Shonda Rhimes medical drama, as it extended the show's record as being the longest-running primetime medical drama in the history of the United States.

Now that Season 22 is on Netflix, longtime fans have a chance to catch up with all that they may have missed during its 2025-2026 TV run. And boy, was there a lot that went on. To give a high overview, the new crop of episodes picks up after the hospital explosion in the Season 21 finale. So, many of the characters are trying to piece their lives back together and regain some sense of "normalcy." However, with this being a TV drama, that's way more complicated.

Many characters find themselves at a crossroads, wrestling with life-altering decisions regarding their health, career, and romantic life. And if you haven't heard, the season also marks the departure of two doctors from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital who have been with the show for years. The duo's exit provides some must-watch entertainment for Grey's Anatomy loyalists.

That's right, the series is once again extending its historic run with another season. Per Deadline, show vets, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Camilla Luddington, Caterina Scorsone, and Chris Carmack are "believed to have another year on their current contracts." So viewers can expect to see them for at least one more round of drama.

It's also worth noting that Grey's Anatomy is getting another spinoff series. The new show focuses on a rural medical center in West Texas. As of publication, not much is known about the cast and exactly how it fits in the Grey's Anatomy Universe. We all just have to wait until more information becomes available.
