Meet the cutest dog in the Chattahoochee Valley. Kantaro is our poll winner & best good boy
The wait is over, dear readers. You’ve voted and now it’s time to reveal the winner of the cutest dog poll.
We started with many worthy doggos, but your voices were heard and Kantaro is the winner by many, many votes.
Meet Kantaro
Kantaro is a pit/Husky mix (Pitsky) who was rescued from Animal Ark because, as his owner Sarah comments, “He’s obviously just the cutest.”
We wanted to know all there is to know about the cutest dog in the area, so allow us to introduce you to Kantaro.
What unique traits or habits does Kantaro have that you think makes him a winner?
Kantaro is very expressive, independent, highly intelligent and loves to play. We named him after Kantaro: The Sweet Tooth Salaryman, which is a very funny show! We rescued him from Animal Ark and later did a dog DNA test on him through Embark and discovered he is a Pitsky, husky mixed with pitbull. The husky side of him can definitely be a bit stubborn and dramatic at times, but he is very friendly and loves meeting new people and exploring new places. He is a very sweet and patient big brother to his little sister Mika, our pug.
What commands or tricks can your dog perform?
He can sit, place, lay down, stay, leave it, take it, shake, and heel. He had training through the K-9 Off Leash program and even they couldn’t completely tame him, but it definitely helped him a lot and he’s a very good boy.
What is your dog’s favorite treat or food?
Frozen peanut butter kongs, bully sticks, or anything he can chew. He also loves ice cubes!
What is your dog’s favorite place to hang out at home?
In the backyard when the weather is nice. Otherwise, on the couch looking out the window or watching TV with us. He gets very interested if there are any animals on TV, but especially doggos! He also loves laying down on our treadmill for some reason.
What’s the most memorable adventure you’ve had together?
Moving from an apartment to our first home, which we basically bought so he could have a fenced-in yard to play in. He was so excited to have a yard to run free in and extra space to play and grow.
