Disney Cruise Line adds more ‘Frozen' fun in Alaska
Alaska is a magical cruise destination in its own right, but sailing to the Great Land on board a Disney cruise ship transforms a scenic voyage through the Inside Passage into an enchanting family adventure.
"For the first time in forever," Disney Cruise Line is sailing two ships in Alaska in 2026. With the expanded sailings comes new entertainment that pairs the wintery fun of Disney's hit movie "Frozen" with the summer beauty of Alaska's immense glaciers and dramatic fjords.
"With sweeping glaciers, towering mountains, and everchanging light, Alaska is cinematic by nature. This summer, Disney Cruise Line pairs that breathtaking backdrop with Frozen-inspired storytelling created especially for Alaska sailings aboard the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic," said Disney Parks Blog contributor Allie Bond.
The Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are both sailing seven-night voyages to Alaska from Vancouver, Canada through September 2026, visiting the popular ports of Skagway, Ketchikan, and either Juneau or Icy Strait Point. Most sailings include scenic cruising through Endicott Arm Fjord to Dawes Glacier, a massive tidewater glacier that frequently calves giant chunks of ice into the fjord.
On board both ships, families have the chance to enjoy some of Disney's latest cruise entertainment enhancements, including a full day of Frozen-themed events and activities on select sailings.

Disney adds ‘Frozen' live show, themed dinner to Alaska cruises
As families sail through Alaska on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, they can experience Anna and Elsa's heartwarming journey from Disney's Frozen live on the upper deck in "For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration." Alaska's spectacular landscapes serve as a perfect backdrop for the beloved tale of sisterly love and its songs, creating an immersive experience that invites families to sing together and be part of the story.
The Frozen sing-along headlines a full day of Frozen-themed experiences, on and off stage, featured on select Alaska sailings. Other highlights of Frozen Day on a Disney cruise to Alaska include:
- Anna's Frozen Fun Hunt - a scavenger hunt-style activity designed for family connection
- Oaken's Maypole Swirl & Twirl - an atrium dance celebration for all ages
- A Frozen‑themed dinner - a royal feast featuring traditional Nordic fare and special dishes inspired by the movie

Disney is also enhancing its live theater shows on Alaska cruises with its Broadway Stars Series, which is featured on select sailings, including a number of sailings on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. The series brings talented Broadway and West End performers on board sailings to play roles in the ship's live stage performances, like "Frozen, A Musical Spectacular" on the Disney Wonder.
New deck parties are rolling out across the Disney Cruise Line fleet
In Alaska and beyond, Disney Cruise Line is enhancing onboard entertainment with new deck parties like the Let's Set Sail sailaway experience hosted by Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse. The Let's Set Sail party is gradually rolling out across the fleet in 2026 as the line's signature sailaway stage show on deck.
The cruise line is also bringing its bright and energetic Mickey's Color Spin Dance Party to more ships, including the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.

For even more high-energy fun, families setting sail on Disney Magic and Disney Wonder cruises from San Diego or Galveston later in 2026 or early 2027 will have the chance to experience the cruise line's updated Pirate Night experience, Mickey & Minnie's Pirates in the Caribbean.
Following recent updates to Disney cruise dinner menus, including the Pirate Night menu, the merriment of Pirate Night is set to get even more playful enhancements in the months ahead as updated activities continue to roll out across the fleet.
