Hughston Clinic opens location in Florida

Hughston Clinic, based in Columbus, has opened an orthopedic practice in Fleming Island, Fla.

The facility opened Friday, with a ribbon-cutting scheduled May 6.

The physicians of Hughston Clinic Fleming Island include William E. Neway III, Julie Barre, Jeffrey Burnette, Albert Henry and Erin Laipply. They will specialize in total joint replacements for the hip and knee, shoulder, sports medicine, fracture treatments, arthroscopies and spine reconstructions. Surgeries will be done at Orange Park Medical Center.

Hughston Clinic was founded in 1949 by the late Dr. Jack C. Hughston and has been recognized both nationally and internationally as a center of excellence for research, education and training, as well as for quality treatment of musculoskeletal injury and disease. The clinic and Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital are both physician owned and operated.

Hughston Clinic’s operation includes several trauma centers and orthopaedic clinics in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.
