Those searching for a job might want to venture to LaGrange, Ga., on Thursday, with auto parts manufacturer Mando America recruiting workers for its plant in Hogansville, Ga., midway between Columbus and Atlanta.
Mando makes parts for steering, brakes and vehicle suspension systems.
The job recruitment will take place 1 to 4 p.m. in the Callaway Center at West Georgia Technical College, 220 Fort Drive, the Georgia Department of Labor said on Tuesday.
Positions the South Korean-based company is looking to fill include ladle operator, quality lab operator, pouring operator, quality inspector and computer numerically controlled operator, operations buyer, machine operators and maintenance technicians. Maintenance and repair jobs also are available, the labor department said.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Those attending Thursday’s event should bring a resume. The labor department encourages those interested in one of the jobs to visit the website, www.employgeorgia.com, to create and account and upload their resume. If they don’t have a resume, the site helps applicants prepare one.
