Work under way to upgrade Columbus Airport’s parking system
Columbus Airport is in the process of upgrading its parking lot, with the installation of an attendant-free system now under way.
The work began last week and is expected to be completed by the end of next week, the airport said in a release. Improvements will include new ticketing and arm systems for both long-term and short-term parking.
For those wishing to pay for parking before departing the terminal, a “pay on foot pay station” also is being installed.
While the work is under way, passengers and visitors using Columbus Airport will be able to park at the 3250 West Britt David Road terminal free of charge.
The airport said the parking upgrades are part of its “Vision 2020 Forward with Focus” campaign in which it aims to improve multiple areas and services.
Delta Connection, a feeder service for Delta Air Lines, offers four flight arrivals and departures each day between Columbus and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
