A mammoth hotel at Fort Benning operated by InterContinental Hotels Group will be holding a job fair Tuesday.
The 860-room IHG Army Hotels-Fort Benning property at 7350 Ingersoll St. has scheduled the event for 1 to 4 p.m.
Hospitality jobs needing to be filled include front desk agents, maintenance, room attendants and laundry attendants.

“IHG Army Hotels is taking convenience to a whole new level whether you’re on long-term assignment or just visiting the area,” the hotel says on its website. It notes that Fort Benning is home to the U.S. Army Armor School, the Army’s Infantry School, the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (formerly known as the School of the Americas), and units from the elements of the 75th Ranger Regiment.
The 450,000-square-foot hotel, which cost $100 million to construct, was dedicated in October 2015. It is called Abrams Hall in honor of the late Gen. Creighton Abrams, a tank commander during World War II who later became chief of staff of the Army during the Vietnam War.
The hotel’s clientele include U.S. troops assigned to Fort Benning for temporary duty or training, as well as family members needing a place to stay when experiencing a permanent change of duty station by their uniformed spouse. Other military-related visitors are welcome when space is available.
The hotel can be reached at 706-689-0067.
