Fans of the cult classic comedy musical, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” have the opportunity to take in the 1975 movie this month at the AMC Ritz 13 in Columbus. That’s the entertainment complex on Whittlesey Road also known as Hollywood Connection.

AMC Theatres has scheduled Friday and Saturday night showings through October at its various properties across the U.S., as well as on Halloween night, which falls on Tuesday this year.

At the Ritz 13, there are 10 p.m. showings for the 95-minute, R-rated fantasy horror feature, which stars Tim Curry as mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Barry Bostwick as Brad and Susan Sarandon as Janet, young newlyweds who stumble into an eerie mansion after their car breaks down on a dark and stormy night.

AMC’s website says tickets are $5 plus tax. For those not into “Rocky Horror,” the Fandango ticket site also indicates there will be two showings, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., of the PG-13 film, “Little Shop of Horrors, The Directors Cut,” on Oct. 31 as well.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” which did not receive great reviews from critics following its debut on Sept, 25, has grown into a favorite for some fans who enjoy dressing in a costume and dancing and singing along during the movie.

On its website, AMC said customers are welcome to come dressed in various attire and dance to the “Time Warp,” but they cannot wear masks of any kind. No weapons or other items “that would make other guests feel uncomfortable or detract from the movie-going experience” are allowed, the theater chain said.
