Columbus Dollar General closing its doors, offering discounts up to 75% off
A Columbus Dollar General store is closing in the next few weeks, according to current employees and signage posted at the location.
The store, located at 906 Amber Drive in Columbus, decide not to renew the lease to the space, according to a manager who declined to provide her name. She said the store is likely to close its doors sometime within the next month.
There are “all sales final” and “everything must go” signs posted in windows of the building and many of the shelves inside of the store are bare.
Discounts are as high as 75% off on items such as beauty, pet care, auto care and food items.
“Sorry for the inconvenience. This store is closing,” a sign in the window states. “Our prices are not like other Dollar Generals. Price as is.”
Once this location closes, there will be 23 locations left in the Chattahoochee Valley, including 13 locations in Columbus.
