Columbus Tuesday Morning location will soon close its doors permanently. Here’s why.
Tuesday Morning will soon close its doors for good in Columbus, according to bankruptcy filing paperwork from the company.
The location at 3201 Macon Road is one of eight Georgia stores closing as part of the company’s bankruptcy filing. According to a press release made public on May 27, stores are closing due to underperforming sales or they are located in areas where there are too many stores near each other.
The company also cites the COVID-19 outbreak as a reason for the store closures.
The Columbus store is part of the company’s first phase of closures. The company anticipates announcing more store closures throughout the summer.
Anything that is purchased at the store is final sale. Currently gift cards can still be used at the location.
According to the bankruptcy filing document, August 7 is the last day for the store closing sales, but individual stores can remain open past this date or close before it. Sales at the Columbus store began on June 1, but it’s unknown how long they will go on for.
The only other Tuesday Morning store in the area is located at 1716 Opelika Road in Auburn.
