Banks Food Hall announces fifth vendor. It’s a familiar name to Columbus

Craft beer shop Maltitude will become the next vendor inside of the upcoming Banks Food Fall, according to an Instagram post from the business.

The new venture will be called The Maltitude Bar at Banks, or MaltiTWO’d. According to the post, draft beer and wine will be served when the location opens.

MaltiTWO’d will be run by the same group of owners who co-own restaurants Jarfly and Nonic, along with Maltitude.

Banks Food Hall is located between 11th and Bay Southern Table and Whitewater Express in Uptown Columbus. Development for the new business began as early as Dec. 2018.

The hall will hold up to 10 vendor booths, according to previous Ledger-Enquirer reports. Concepts announced so far include a poke bowl stand called Poke Sun, a Nashville hot chicken vendor, an espresso bar and bakery from Fountain City Coffee Co. called The Bakeshop, and a taco stand from El Primo Mexican Grill based in Hamilton.

In January, developers said they hoped to have the hall open this spring and have not announced a new opening date in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Comments on the hall’s Instagram page indicate an announcement date is coming soon.

Banks Food Hall is part of the W.C. Bradley Company building and was once a cotton warehouse.
