A Columbus company specializing in estate sales is hosting a “pop up” store this month for the first time in its 10 year history.

Silver Service GA is using an empty storefront between Publix and Cato in Cross Country Plaza to offer customers an estate sale shopping experience without having to go into a stranger’s home.

“It was formerly a consignment shop, so it’s a nice, good retail spot for us,” Silver Service owner Emily Rosher said.

The business helps seniors and their family members downsize, and organizes estate sales to sell items that the client can no longer keep, according to the company’s website.

Silver Service decided to host this pop up sale due to the size of the home they’re working on and lack of parking available at the location. The store will have a variety of homegoods for sale, including cookware to high-end furniture and artwork, Rosher said.

“We’ve been in business 10 years, but it’s the first time we’ve been in a retail location,” she said. “It’s very exciting.”

The store will be open from Sept. 17-20. The hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
