A fast-style Japanese restaurant chain is planning on opening its third location in Columbus, replacing a Blimpie sandwich shop that closed several months ago.

The new Hibachi Express location at 7450 Blackmon Road, Suite 100 will feature a drive-thru, similar to the other two locations, and offer dishes like rice and noodle bowls.

Google search results still list Blimpie at the location, but multiple signs at the store indicate Hibachi Express is moving into the space. The permit for the building was issued on July 27, according to a sign in the window.

The restaurant is also looking for employees. For more information, call 229-894-9109.

Until the Blackmon Road location opens, 6563 Gateway Road and 6160 Bradley Park Drive in Columbus are open with take-out and delivery options.

Workers at both locations had no comment when asked about the new store.
