Open for just under a year, this Columbus wing spot is closing ‘effective immediately’
A Columbus chicken wing restaurant that opened late last year has closed after just under one year in business.
B’Amazing Wings, 5727 Moon Road, is closed “effective immediately,” according to a Facebook post from the restaurant.
“We are sad to announce that we will be closing B’Amazing Wings effective immediately. It’s a bitter sweet moment!” the post reads. “This has definitely been an incredible journey and we couldn’t have done without you all. We are going to miss our customers dearly!”
In a separate post, owner Branddon Mays said that the demands of his “latest business venture” prompted the restaurant’s closure.
The restaurant offered 12 wing flavors from mild to honey barbecue, in addition to other menu items such as chicken tenders and Philly cheese steaks. It also offered a strawberry wing flavor.
Mays started cooking wings out of his home. He eventually moved up to a food truck, then to a concession tent and back to his home.
He made all of the wing sauces with recipes he perfected over the years. The base of his original sauce, called “Addiction sauce” on the menu, came from his mother, Yvonne Mays, who died in 2005.
