Banks Food Hall’s newest vendor got its start at Market Days on Broadway. It’s opening soon
Once a popular vendor at Market Days on Broadway, Filberto’s Authentic Filipino Cuisine will soon have a Columbus location that diners can visit beyond Saturday mornings.
Banks Food Hall, 1002 Bay Ave., announced its newest vendor on Thursday. The Filipino restaurant will begin serving its dishes out of the food hall “in the coming months,” according to a news release.
“We are elated to be the newest vendor at Banks Food Hall,” Miguel Pacle, co-owner of Filberto’s, said in the release. “We can’t wait to give the community a new dining experience while sharing our Filipino culture and traditions.”
The vendor began serving up customers during the Market Days 2020 season. It sells a variety of Filipino dishes, including sweet and sour fish; chicken inasal; pork barbecue skewers and more.
The success it saw at the weekly market prompted Pacle and his team to search for a permanent storefront.
Filberto’s is a 2021 graduate of StartUp Columbus, which offers a nine-week startup curriculum, consultation services for startup businesses and more.
“No more waiting every weekend to catch us!” a post from the vendor says. “We cannot wait to serve (Columbus) and the surrounding areas.”
Filberto’s was not reached for comment before publication.
