‘I love you all so much.’ Beejou Craft Kombucha to close at the end of April, owner says

Beejou Craft Kombucha, a downtown kombucha brewery and taproom, will shut down April 30, co-owner Suhyoon Wood announced in social media posts Monday.

“We have some big news: an opportunity (is) taking us elsewhere sooner rather than later,” a portion of the post reads. “It’s surreal to ‘end’ something that is succeeding and flourishing, but I’ve realized that the success of Beejou in Columbus means we can be successful anywhere.”

Wood and her husband are moving to Washington D.C., and she said the goal is to continue to build their brand and distribute across the southeast once they are settled in their home.

Wood opened the business and began serving her bubbly and lightly fermented sweet tea beverage in May 2020.

“From the bottom of my heart, I want you to know I am forever grateful for what you’ve allowed me to share with you,” she said in the post. “I love you all so much.”
