A midtown Columbus shopping center sold for $42.6 million, its former owner announced Monday.

Cross Country Plaza, a 314,000-square-foot retail center anchored by Publix, was purchased by an affiliate of Virginia-based Hackney Real Estate Partners.

In addition to Publix, the center is home to TJ Maxx, Burlington, 2nd & Charles and other businesses. It was nearly 90% occupied at the time of the sale, its former owner Coro Realty said in a news release. Coro purchased the property in 2013.
