Last week, the Ledger-Enquirer asked where to find the best chicken sandwich in Columbus, and restaurant nominations flooded in.

Sixty-six people responded to our question, and the results varied from national chains to sport bars. Popeye’s, Zaxby’s and Chick-fil-A seemed to have made an impression. Asked why Chick-Fil-A had the best sandwiches, responders who nominated this national chain had a simple answer.

“Duh,” one person wrote, and another respondent elaborated with, “It’s Chick-Fil-A.”

But not to be outdone by the big names, local restaurants like Jarfly, Plucked Up Chicken & Biscuits and The Chicken Lady’s Coop were also notable nominees for the unofficial bragging rights of having Columbus’ favorite chicken sandwich.

Maybe our winner could be found at The Speakeasy. We were told that Nonic Beer Bar & Kitchen has a tasty sandwich.

What if the best chicken sandwich is outside of Columbus in Harris County? 219 On The Lake made our list of recommendations.

So, we put it to our readers again. Which local restaurant can brag about winning this (not a scientific) poll? And what’s your favorite national chain?
