This position requires a bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, geography or a similar field and a master’s degree is preferred. Extensive knowledge of land use planning and transportation is needed, as this role will be directing the overall administration for the Columbus Consolidated Government.
Internal Auditor/Compliance Officer
Full-Time
Salary: $93,890, annually
This role will plan and conduct internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, management or a related field. Applicants must be a licensed CPA or equivalent and have five or more years of experience in internal audits, fraud examination or forensic accounting.
Waste Disposal and Recycling Manager

Salary: $66,448, annually
A bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license is required for this position. Applicants must also meet certain physical requirements such as lift objects, climb ladders and work in hot or cold environments/inclement weather.
Solid Waste and Recycling Collections Manager
Full-Time
Salary: $66,448, annually
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, public administration, business administration or a similar field. Similar to the waste disposal position, this role also requires a valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift light to heavy objects.
Urban Forestry and Beautification Manager
Full-Time
Salary: $66,448, annually
Applicants for this position must have knowledge of principles and practices of public administration, including goal setting, program budget development and implementation. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in urban forestry, horticulture, landscape, forestry or a related field. A valid driver’s license and an ISA (International Society of Arboricultural) certification is also required.
