Ok Sun Oriental Restaurant, a popular Korean eatery in Columbus for decades, is for sale.

The Ledger-Enquirer didn’t reach the owners for comment before publication, and nobody answered the phone at the restaurant when the L-E called, but the listing agent told the L-E that Ok Sun remains open for business Wednesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

John Raymer, associate broker at RE/MAX Champions Realty, said in an email the owners are “Mr. and Mrs Chong, brother and sister-in-law of Ok Sun Ferrell. They are selling due to health reasons and wanting to retire.”

The 2,050-square-foot restaurant, at 2929 Victory Circle since 1985, is on a quarter-acre lot. The asking price is $390,000. Here’s how the property is described in the listing:

“Established restaurant space in North Columbus for sale. Restaurant has been in operation for decades and has an extremely loyal and consistent customer base. Excellent road frontage. Good visibility. Sale includes all restaurant equipment. Sale also includes the small home/building adjacent to the subject property (2930 Victory Circle) which could be utilized for storage or demolished for increased parking. Continue with the established business with a new concept. A rare opportunity!”

Ok Sun also used to have a restaurant in downtown Columbus, where The Loft is now on Broadway.

No announcement about the restaurant being for sale is on the Ok Sun Facebook page, but previous posts indicate the ownership was looking for a break.

After closing in September for the restaurant’s annual vacation, instead of reopening Dec. 1 as expected, Ok Sun announced the vacation was being extended until Jan. 10.

Then on Jan. 12, Ok Sun told its Facebook friends, “We’re very sorry for the delay in news this year. Our parents have been re-evaluating everything with the restaurant considering their retirement and issues with product shipment/availability and price inflation. They plan to reopen the restaurant on Wednesday, February 2. The restaurant will only be open on Wednesdays through Saturdays. We appreciate everyone’s patience as they re-group with the restaurant plans.”
