Thousands of readers have voted for their favorite new restaurants in the last two weeks, and it’s time for the final round of voting before the final.

New restaurants were opening up all over Columbus, Phenix City and the surrounding areas last year. There will be three weeks of voting featuring 12 restaurants, and the winners from each week will then go head-to-head in a final round.

In Week 1, It’s Tamale Time won with 64% of the vote. Big Mama Vietnamese Kitchen took first place in Week 2 with 62% of the vote. Both restaurants will be moving on to the final round.

Here’s some details about the four restaurants featured in this third week of voting:

  • Build Yo Salad opened in December on Macon Road. Customers are able to create custom salads with a large menu of fresh vegetables, toppings and sauces.

  • Agave Bar and Grill opened in the last days of 2021. Located on Broadway, the restaurant features dishes inspired by the different pueblos from Mexico.
  • Pho SaiGon features recipes from the older generation of Vietnamese food when Saigon was the capital of Vietnam. The restaurant opened last September and is located on Airport Thruway.
  • Filberto’s Authentic Filipino Cuisine brought cuisine from the Phillipines and opened in Banks Food Hall last March.

Vote in this poll, and come back next week for another round of voting with different restaurants. It’s up to our readers to decide which new restaurant will have the bragging rights. This poll is not scientific, and you can vote as many times as you would like between now and when the poll closes Wednesday at noon.

If you have a restaurant that opened in 2022 and would like to be included in future rounds of this poll, please contact us at bmcgee@ledger-enquirer.com
