Which barbecue restaurant in the Columbus area is the best around? Vote in Round 3!
Columbus residents have a lot of options for barbecue, and over the last couple of weeks the Ledger-Enquirer has asked readers to help decide which one is the best.
The Emerald’s Touch (36% of the vote) and Hog Rock BBQ (50% of the vote) won the first two rounds of voting to move on to the final round.
Now is the chance for four other businesses to take a shot at winning in the third round. There will be three rounds of voting with four different barbecue restaurants in each poll. Then the winners of each round will go head to head in a final round of voting.
This poll is not a scientific, and there is no reward other than the bragging rights of winning an online poll. But who doesn’t like arguing about who has the best barbecue in the South?
Restaurants featured in the polls have been nominated by readers in the weeks prior to this first round of voting. Here are the restaurants featured in Round 3:
- Shane’s Rib Shack began in 2002 in McDonough, GA selling “Big Dad’s secret BBQ recipe,” before opening over a decade later in Columbus on Veterans Parkway.
- Moe’s Original BBQ opened in September 2022 next to Fetch Park on Fifth Avenue. The restaurant features Alabama-style barbecue and rotates 70-80 side options.
- 13th Street Bar-B-Q is located on Veterans Parkway and is famous for its Original Pork Chop sandwich.
- Mike & Ed’s Bar-B-Q has locations in Phenix City and Columbus and has been serving barbecue since 1985.
Vote in this poll, and come back next week for another round of voting with different restaurants. This poll is not scientific, and you can vote as many times as you would like between now and when the poll closes next Wednesday April 5 at noon.
